A true behemoth yacht just delivered – 266’ Sea Eagle. Not bad looking, but the flat sheer line makes it a little dull to me. You can use the flat bow to make a sailing yacht look modern, but even a slight spring in the sheer adds grace and movement to the appearance in my eyes.
It should be a spectacular performer – aluminum hull for light weight and 3500 sq meters of sail, whatever that is in sq ft. Early estimates predict speeds up to 21 knots, which is really trucking for a big, lushly-outfitted yacht.
No pix of the interior available, alas. With so much interior space I assume the accommodations are comfortable to the extreme.
