You have to chuckle when you read about climate-alarmist Steven Spielberg’s new 357-foor $250 million super-yacht. The amount of steel, power and fossil fuel usage expended to manufacture this floating behemoth would supply power to Hartford CT for a month or so. The amount of oil burned daily the yacht’s pair of 4800 HP monster diesels – almost 10,000 HP – pushing this mammoth ship to 20 knots likely equals the power usage of Peoria Illinois. I mean, this yacht’s carbon footprint is truly gigantic, but that does not stop Spielberg from lecturing the world about the horrors of fossil fuel usage. And of course, Spielberg flies via private jets, which emit mountains of noxious emissions and burn copious amounts of highly-refined jet fuel.
Spielberg should make a movie about climate hypocrites, since it’s a topic he knows so well.
